The design theme of this event is GLITTERING LAS VEGAS! Glamour, glitz, sequins and feathers.. Dazzling lighting effects and high energy entertainment all combine to create an evening to remember.

THE ARRIVAL


The guests arrive at the Enterprise Centre and are greeted by a spirited Dixieland Band. A Nevada hiway sign over the entrance way says: “Las Vegas 10 Miles”

Hostesses dressed in dazzling Showgirl costumes line the stairway to the theatre doors. Over the entrance is a sign that reads “Welcome to Las Vegas”. On either side of the doorway are desert props ie: cactus, sand, skulls etc. A red carpet leads the guests from the desert outskirts into glittering Las Vegas..

The foyer of the threatre is draped on the both sides and the red carpet runs down the centre. On the right side there are brilliant neon signs depicting Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos. This is the dazzling Las Vegas Strip!

THE RECEPTION

Once in the foyer, the guests enter elevators which take them to the Gallery level where a roaring Casino is in full swing. The Casino area is decorated with jumbo playing cards, jumbo dice and festive balloon decor. The Show Girls and the band join the scene.

As the Casino gathers energy, Improv Actorts dressed as Las Vegas characters circulate through the room interacting with the guests. (NOTE: Overflow will take the guests to the Mezzanine level where the Casino continues.)


Although the Main Room can be seen over the railings of the mezzanine, the pre-set is subdued keeping the focus of activity in the Casino. As the casino closes, however, a Comedian/M.C. and the band take to the main stage......”Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the Las Vegas Showroom!”. This is the cue for the guests to move from the mezzanine to the Main Room.

THE MAIN ROOM


At the the top of the escalators there is a Las Vegas style showcard with pictures announcing that evenings entertainment. “Appearing Tonight: The Sassabrass Show Band and the Gold Nugget Dancers! Special guest stars.....direct from the luxurius ‘Crown Princess’, Lelani Marrell and Tony Gato!” As the guests proceed down the escalators, the activities from the stage continue building energy in the room.

The focus of the Main Room is the stage situated on the south west wall. A 15 foot high glittering silver mylar slit drape completes the backdrop. Spectacularly prominent are elaborate, highly stylized ten foot columns on either side of the stage and at the base of the escalators. This strong Las Vegas design is carried through to the table centres.

As the guests come down the escalator the stage will appear to rise in proportions. Special effect lighting, bouncy music and the continuing patter and song from the M.C. creates excitement and anticipation until all the guests are seated.

THE ENTERTAINMENT


The entertainment for the evening will be presented in a Variety Show Format, typical in Las Vegas show rooms. The basis of the entertainment is the excellent show band Sassabrass under the leadership of Juno Award winner Mark Hasselbach. This versatile orchestra (Piano, Bass ,Drums, Guitar, and four Horn players) not only is extremely entertaining on its own but has had many years experience as one of the best backup orchestras for visiting star performers..

Highly recommended as M.C. is Vancouver comic Billy Mitchell. An extremely funny fellow with a sonorous voice. Billy is a regular on the T.V. game show “Acting Crazy” .

Headlining the show will be Cabaret performers Lelani Marrell and Tony Gato.Both of these stunning performers are individual headliners for Princess Cruise Lines dazzling audiences world wide on such elegant floating palaces as the Crown Princess. Off stage they are husband and wife and have created a unique and dynamic show especially for large “off ship” venues. Their massive repertoire of song, dance and humour plus the years of experience “playing the big time” make them the perfect choice for this glittering “Las Vegas Night”.

Also in the show are the Gold Nugget Dancers. This exciting revue of acrobatic choreography gives the Las Vegas Night a professional crowning touch!

The evening climaxes in a spectacular outdoor fireworks display followed by a balloon drop and dancing into the wee hours.
