Do Buddhists Pray
Yes there are prayers in Buddhism. However, Buddhists do not plead to an external power such as a god.

Buddhist prayer can be explained in the laws of cause and effect. Any action...even as minute as a thought...a wish, is going to cause an effect. The serenity on your face after a devotional moment of prayer will cause positive reaction in a companion or any one you interact with. Such is the power of prayer in Buddhism
